At the Height of the Moon (1967) - Simon - 03-16-2026 If you're looking for the same charm and ease as Mornings at Seven, you will be disappointed. Although Eric Malpass is always readable, this follow up saga of the Pentecost Family has now become all about Gaylord's scrapes and misunderstandings. Most are not funny, just rather irritating in my opinion. Some of the original family members are not mentioned at all, and Gaylord's insights into the way his parents and grandfather see the world, are quite frankly not true to life at all. I will not be returning to the doings of the Pentecost family - Mornings at Seven was far too good to be spoilt by these poor after offerings. |
