Goodreads, while at least acknowledging its existence, has little to say about this book, although it does refer to Chris Kent as "the most noted boys-books author[s] of today".
It's typical Kent fare, telling a story based on The Coral Island by RM Ballantyne, that would no doubt scandalise that worthy author. No matter - it's fun, and Kent dishes up his usual mixture of boys and young men, ensuring that there's something to suit every taste.
This is the second to last of the Chris Kent books I have to post; the last is Little Big Men (apparently based on Lord of the Flies), which ought to appear later this week. I think this completes the Kent canon, but I'd be happy to be proved wrong!
